CONTINUES IN WINCHESTER
Gulshan Tandoori opened in the mid-1980s, part of Winchester’s early wave of Indian restaurants. From 8 St George’s Street, Naz’s grandad, Mr T Alli, built a familiar name through traditional tandoori dishes, classic curries and warm hospitality.

An unopened bank envelope, addressed to Mr T Alli care of the restaurant and still holding its cheque book, is a treasured reminder of that chapter. His hope to buy the Stockbridge Road takeaway that Naz now calls Aroma once fell through—but the dream found its way back to the family.
